Up in the Morning 2

I was thinking more on my last rant about getting up in the morning. As mentioned I don’t think we’ve been brainwashed into it, but it is true that we’re commonly told that it should be done; that it is the key to success (early bird catches the worm); that it’s the right and proper thing to do. Cross cultures and backgrounds and generations, most people agree that one “should” get up early in the morning (even if they disagree about wanting to). So why is that? Continue reading

Up in the Morning

I apologise in advance, but this is going to be a bit of a rant. I’ve just started to read a new book. It came highly recommended by the Hobbit and seems to be perfect for me: It is meant to be about how to relax without feeling guilty about it. My Hobbit is a shining example in this for me. The job I found wasn’t really what I wanted but it paid well and I was totally broke. I found a flat that had a few big downsides, but it was affordable. Beggars can’t be choosers. And then of course I fell madly in love, which is great fun but also very distracting and costs a lot of time and energy. Since then I’ve been working on moving to a better place and getting a better job and generally getting to a better place where I’m happier. Continue reading
